SnipTap is designed as a local-first productivity app for saving, organizing, rewriting, and reusing text snippets, templates, and clipboard history.
Service provider
SnipTap is provided by Tomovium / Aleksandar Tomovski.
Information stored on your device
SnipTap stores your snippets, categories, template values, clipboard history, app settings, installation identity, entitlement state, and AI usage status locally on your device.
No account required
SnipTap does not currently require an account, sign-in, or cloud sync.
Installation and entitlement checks
SnipTap may register a local installation with the SnipTap service to enable app configuration, Pro entitlement checks, AI rewrite limits, AI+ credits, and purchase verification. This may include a locally generated installation key, app version, platform, package name, entitlement status, usage counters, and purchase tokens returned by Google Play after a purchase.
No ads or advertising ID
SnipTap does not show ads and does not use the Android advertising ID.
Clipboard access
SnipTap may read clipboard content only for app features such as clipboard history and creating snippets from copied text. Clipboard content is stored locally on your device.
AI Rewrite
When you choose to use AI Rewrite, the text you ask SnipTap to rewrite, the selected rewrite mode, and basic locale information are sent to the SnipTap service so the rewrite can be processed and usage limits can be applied. SnipTap does not automatically upload your full snippet library or clipboard history for AI Rewrite.
AI Rewrite text may be processed by third-party AI providers used by SnipTap, such as Google Gemini, only to generate the rewrite you requested.
Feedback and issue reports
If you choose to send feedback or report an issue, SnipTap may include useful diagnostic information in the email, such as app version, Android version, device model, current screen, timestamp, and recent non-sensitive app diagnostics.
The report is sent only when you choose to send it through your email app.
Purchases
SnipTap Pro and AI+ purchases are handled by Google Play Billing. Payment processing is managed by Google Play. SnipTap verifies purchase tokens with the SnipTap service before enabling Pro features or adding AI+ credits.
AI Rewrite is intended to use one credit per rewrite request, but credit usage and allowances may vary over time based on AI provider costs, request size, service availability, and operational sustainability.
Data export and import
SnipTap lets users export their data for backup. Import is available with SnipTap Pro. Exported files are controlled by you and stored wherever you choose to save them.
Data sharing
SnipTap does not sell your personal data. SnipTap does not automatically upload your snippets or clipboard history. Data is sent to the SnipTap service only when needed for features you choose to use, such as AI Rewrite, purchase verification, entitlement checks, usage limits, and usage/credit visibility.
Security, retention, and deletion
Data sent between SnipTap and the SnipTap service is transmitted using HTTPS. Server-side records such as installation identity, entitlement state, purchase verification, usage counters, credit balances, and operational logs are retained as needed to provide the service, verify purchases, restore access, prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, and comply with legitimate operational or legal requirements.
You can request deletion of server-side data associated with your installation or purchases by emailing support@sniptap.app with the subject "SnipTap data deletion request." If possible, include the app installation ID shown in the app or any purchase/support details that help us identify the installation.
Deletion requests may include installation records, entitlement and usage records, AI Rewrite usage data, and AI+ credit records associated with your installation. Some purchase, security, fraud-prevention, or legal records may be retained when required. Snippets, templates, categories, and clipboard history stored locally on your device can be removed by deleting them in the app, clearing app data, or uninstalling SnipTap.
